My way to Lofoten photography and passion captured with every single image I take with my camera.

About me

Robert Andrelczyk, photographer

I’m Robert and I invite you to a magical and colorful trip to the Lofoten Islands, a land of wild nature, charming corners and the wonderful phenomenon of the northern lights.

Let’s start with a few words about me. I am 42 years old, privately I am a husband and father of 3 boys, we have been living in Norway for 16 years, where we spent the first 12 in Trondheim and for the last 4 we have been happy residents of the wonderful Lofoten archipelago. We live in a tiny wooden house with a dog, a cat, and a flock of chickens running around the yard.

The discovery of the magical art of painting with light took me to an amazing world of millions of colors, endless composition possibilities, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and it captivated me so much that I stayed in this world longer. I bought my first camera in 2009, if I remember correctly (Olympus E-520), and then new ones appeared and it was just an amateur hobby, which over time turned into a passion and finally a way of life and an amazing and exciting adventure. Today I photograph OM-1 and OMD EMiMii using various lenses, from ultra wide-angle to long telephoto. I love landscape and nature photography. Thanks to its location and harsh climate, the archipelago has retained its natural beauty, which allows me every day to improve my photographic skills in composing photos at different times of the year, changeable weather or long polar nights when the northern lights appear in the starry sky. The frames fill themselves with the unearthly color of the water, fishermen’s huts or jagged mountain peaks, posing gloomily for the camera.

In my photography world I have been collaborating and publishing with many different social media creators and platforms. I´m spesially proud to be a cooperation partner with VisitLofoten.com, a part of VisitNorway.com which is official travel guide to Norway. Some of others creators where my workshop was published are fotolab.no, @PindleEurope, @NorthernNorway, OlympusPassion.com (my last photography article was published here).

The place where I live means that I can share the knowledge and awareness I have acquired about photography and show others the beautiful nature that I have every day and at my fingertips.

The Lofoten Islands consist of several islands in the northern part of Norway, above the Arctic Circle. They are famous for soaring mountain peaks, crystal clear turquoise water, beautiful sandy beaches, magical sunrises and sunsets and, of course, the Northern Lights. Charming fishing villages with characteristic red or yellow houses are the hallmark of the Lofoten Islands. The magic of the archipelago and lots of wonderful memories will stay with you for a long time 🙂
